Kanara Global Virtue is the parent company behind brands that have reached millions of Indonesian families. Founded in 2021 by Nyoman Anjani and Ramadhan Satrio Nugroho, we started with a single brand — Gently Baby — built on the belief that gentle, safe, high-quality baby skincare products must be honest & affordable.
Today, Kanara operates as a house of brands spanning baby care, skin care, personal care, and nutrition categories. Backed by world-class investors including Accel, Ares Management (previously Northstar), and Init6, we are scaling through innovation, with the conviction that every Indonesian family deserves better products within reach.

Our Story

It started with one question a pregnant mother couldn’t answer:

Why is it so hard to find baby products that are safe, high-quality, and affordable in Indonesia?

The inception

During her first pregnancy, Anjani went looking for baby care products she could trust, and kept coming up short. That frustration became a conviction. Together with Ramadhan Satrio Nugroho, she founded Gently: high-quality baby care for Indonesian parents, at a price they can afford.

Finding Product-Market Fit

Gently launched and gained traction. Revenue grew month-over-month as word of mouth spread. By year-end, Init6 came on board as our first institutional backer.

Building the Foundation

Gently became Gently Baby. We expanded our product range, grew the team, and built the operational systems for what came next.

Institutional Backing

Raised our $2M seed round led by Accel and Northstar. Launched Gently Mamacare and Joymeal. The house of brands was taking shape.

Led by innovation

Partnered with the School of Pharmacy at Institut Teknologi Bandung to develop Cera Care Biome technology for Gently Baby.

A New Chapter

We unified our portfolio under a new identity — Kanara — a house of brands built for the next chapter of growth. Ready to expand beyond the mothers and baby category.
